Precision engineering Sharpening
Our experienced sharpening technician, David McGarrity, aka Scissorman, has a precision engineering background and holds a Full Technological Certificate and Higher National Certificate in Production Engineering.
With many years in the hairdressing business, Scissorman was then created after David indentified the need for a quality ‘right here, right now’ service offering precision sharpening and sales of high quality scissors, in all shapes and sizes.
THE EQUIPMENT
Many current in-salon sharpening systems cannot deal with convex or serrated edges and they often take away more metal than is necessary to achieve a sharp edge. The Rapid Edge system used by our sharpening technician is specifically engineered to sharpen the complex edges of salon scissors.
